It has been far too long

It has been far too long, since I last saw
The glow of your eyes and the color of your hair.
It has been far too long, since I last herd
The sound of your voice or the song on your lips.

I wish to see you just once again
You read this somewhere far away
I hope you miss, and do not forget
Me missing you from far away.

It has been far too long, since I last saw
The glow of your eyes and the color of your hair.
It has been far too long, since I last herd
The sound of your voice or the song on your lips.

If you don’t return
I can only hope
That our paths will meet

Once again, somewhere down the road

  1. I really like this, Adam! I think every line ends where it should with a good use of enjambment and end stopped line, and the poem itself sounds really nice.
