As I woke up, I could hear the alarm howling at me to get
up. I reached up and turned it off, but
the alarm was still blazing. I tried
again, nothing. Then I noticed that I was
sweaty and smelled of smoke. Smoke? I threw off the blanket and looked around. Everything looked normal but I could defiantly
smell smoke. My eyes burned and my head
hurt as I tried to think of what to do.
I ran down stairs. Still
no sign of a fire but the smoke was just as thick, hanging over everything like
a thick black cloud of doom. Still with
no sign of fire but the smoke I ran to make sure my parents were okay. They had already left, without me! I ran outside just as the first flames sprang
up from the floor. I tried to find my parents
but couldn't. Then I remembered that
they were sleeping in the basement because of a broken window and it was too
cold in their room. I turned to run back
inside as the air conditioner exploded and the whole house was suddenly covered
in flames.
